madrolla68 Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 Ok I'm in the process of dummying up the new 5KT and was wondering about restricting the oil feed to the lifter gallery as it doesn't use hydraulic lifters anymore,it can be done by fitting a restrictor in the side drilling and blocking it off that way. Has anybody done this or seen anything like this done,it has to help keep oil down the bottom. MAtt Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Hi Matt, I have heard of guys who have fit chev solid lifters to a 5K block of a certain type and the hole that feeds oil was aligned with the hole in the solid lifter so the motor made 0PSI oil pressure. He just blocked it off and has never looked back. So yes I have heard of it done and yes can be done. Cameron Quote
