irokin Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 can't say I've ever heard of a targa top KE20. Theres a black KE20 convertable. The other guys will help you with engine mods...or post links and lock the thread.... Quote
Super Jamie Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 3Ks are slightly different to 4Ks, so it's a valid question. the best cam for a 3k is a 20-60, but you still won't get the power or torque you'll get out of a 4k or 5k, so it's not worth doing much more to a 3k if you ask me if you want a quick fix, buy a new timing chain and standard valve springs and get a cam grind and just put it back together. you can even get a thing that lets you change the springs without taking the head off if you want to spend more than a couple of hundred bucks, start with a 4k or 5k and do it properly with headwork and big valves and a fresh, balanced bottom end. of which there are many topics about building one :D Quote
1G-GTE KE70 Posted March 5, 2005 Report Posted March 5, 2005 I'd love to get a 4K-C and just get it cleaned, polished, rebuilt, worked to the shithouse, balanced, and then rammed back into a KE70 to have a full tough 4K. Fulli Sik Quote
Lo'Rolla Posted March 9, 2005 Author Report Posted March 9, 2005 hmmm it seems i will just rebuild the old girl n clean her up a bit so she runs nice...seeing as i can't get much out of a 3k would a 5k injected turbo be a good idea n if so how much work will it need 2 put back in the ke20 cheers lads n lasses Quote
Jason Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 if you do that IIRC wouldn't it be cheaper and possibly easier to to a 4ag conversion? Quote
