Mybowlcut Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 Hey. The choke on my 5k carby is getting stuck on the clamp... From inside the car, the choke pulls out but it is very easy to pull and doesn't increase the revs at all. From under the bonnet, the choke cable gets stuck on the clamp and it is hard to pull out. Once it is out, it is hard to get it back into the clamp. Does the little metal bit on the choke cable need to be made smaller? Or is there something else I can do to stop it from getting caught? Cheers. Quote
philbey Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Gday mate, You need to do the clamp up tighter. I'm assuming the moving item is the bit that bolts to the rocker cover? The sheath of the cable needs to remain fixed, only the internal part moves. Quote

Cheers for that. :y: Can't remember if it bolts to the rocker cover... it goes from the choke inside the car through to the carby near the accelerator throttle thing. Thanks! Quote
