AE80Rollaguy Posted October 8, 2008 Report Share Posted October 8, 2008 Hey guys and girls!! as a few of u know i have just gotten my self an ae90 with a 4agze conversioin in her and ive look around the web and looking a few other 4agze's just about all of them are map sensor models.. is there a great deal of differance between the two?? is the adventure to change my afm to map sensor hard to do, what would i need to do it and how hard would it be?? if any one has any idea of a price it would cost me to do so that would be good to.. beerhead Posted October 12, 2008 Report Share Posted October 12, 2008 It won't be worth the money to swap to the map sensor ecu. The afm models are actually more adaptive to higher boost and cams, so to many people the earlier ecu is actually better. The hp gain between the bigport and smallport GZE's is more related to the higher static compression ratio, not the map sensor ecu.
