irokin Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Sure you wired up the coil/dizzy correctly? AFAIK they require different wiring to traditional points distributors. Quote
trav_555 Posted October 25, 2008 Author Report Posted October 25, 2008 how so? i got the two wires that come out of the elec dizzy, a clay brown one and a white one and plugged one to neg and one to pos, i swapped em around as well and it didnt make a difference is there anything i need to do with coil and dizzy apart from that? thanks Travis Quote

trav_555 Posted October 26, 2008 Author Report Posted October 26, 2008 ok just ttried same wiring conected to old coil and nothing, changed it back to new coil and i pu timing light in between 1st spark and 1st lead from dizzy, and turned it over and nothing happened, no shiny light at all, which tells me its definately not getting power to dizzy, I'm pretty sure its got igniter inside dizzy, trying to conntact ke ping it real to ask him about it all its definately got fuel and stuff and its cranking over, problem lies with coil/ dizzy Quote
irokin Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 My guess is its an external igniter dizzy and you haven't got an igniter. Quote
trav_555 Posted October 26, 2008 Author Report Posted October 26, 2008 ok damn, I'm gonna give ke ping it real a call and ask him now Quote
