l1ttle_d3vil Posted March 31, 2005 Report Share Posted March 31, 2005 does anyone have the wiring diagram for the ignition/coil for a 1975 ke35. basically ive got 4 wires which i thought all went to the coil - 2 negative and 2 positive. ive put a 4age in and put a multimeter on the wires and checked them, put the appropriate ones onto the terminals of the 4age coil then checked the dash and all the lights were on (with the key off). so i took one of the wires off the negative terminal and it sparked, so i took it off and put a multimeter on it and there was nothing when i earthed it (the multimeter) to the body or engine manifold, but when i earthed it to the ignitor/coil bracket there was about 4volts going through it. so pretty much I'm a bit confused with what wires are what now and hoping someone or a diagram can tell me which of these 4 wires from the ignition should go where. l1ttle_d3vil Posted April 2, 2005 Author Report Share Posted April 2, 2005 ive put a 4age into my ke35, how should i wire the ignition up? the same as a standard 4age should be like in this diagram? or will it need to be wired differently to accomodate the ke35 ignition too? Super Jamie Posted April 2, 2005 Report Share Posted April 2, 2005 all you really need to supply from the loom is ignition power to the coil (use the positive wire to ke35 coil), and earth from the ignition module, the rest is all 4ag parts (ignitor, ecu, tacho, distributor). i'd earth the module to body, and straight back to battery negative as well, for a good clean signal Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

l1ttle_d3vil Posted April 5, 2005 Author Report Share Posted April 5, 2005 umm no sorry, don't know what you mean :D theres lots of little silver boxes under my dash. are you talking about on the 3K loom? if so, where abouts on the loom? under the dash by the ignition/fuse box? in the engine bay? what other wires go to it that I might be able to identify?
