wicked666 Posted December 9, 2008 Report Posted December 9, 2008 Hey everyone, I am new to this forum... Just lately I have been looking at the 2001 Corolla AE112R Sportivo Turbo's, and I just wondered what they are like? How they respond to modifications? How much more boost can they handle? Are the gearbox weak? I was thinking of purchasing a stock standard, and putting an exhaust on, CAI, Bigger front mount (NOT a HUGE one), some coilovers and what ever else i think of. Try and keep it reliable but responsive. Quote
Rolla Boy Posted December 9, 2008 Report Posted December 9, 2008 They run the standard 7A rods which are only good for about 7psi... The gearboxes aren't weak but weren't built to handle a load of power... Your plans sound fine for the car... Best modification would be to remove the standard piping maze, make it a lot shorter and you should see an increase straight away... Quote
wicked666 Posted December 9, 2008 Author Report Posted December 9, 2008 ahhh rightio.... I was kinda hopeing to run higher boost though. Quote
