Hi All, I know this has probably been covered before,

When I installed my twin carbs I never bothere dhooking up the choke mechanism as I was missing a couple of bits from the l9inkage set up and It doesnt take all that long for my car to warm up. so anyway cutting to the chase...

Am I able to remove my choke butterfliies?? If so will there be any difference to anything?? power, Idle, Induction noise, fuel.....

and is it as easy as unscrewing them??

please inform me if you know....

cheers Jono!!.

yeah, just unscrew them. maybe take the carbs off the engine, or at least stuff rags down the throats, you'll likely break the screws in half, and you don't want bits of metal ending up inside the motor

i always ran a rich idle, and had high intake velocity, so never needed a choke. i took mine off too

there will be almost no difference in anything, if you can't be bothered, you may as well just jam the choke linkage open with a piece of wire or a spring and leave it at that
