parrot Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 Interesting. Sure its not an electric choke actuator? Or, maybe it just partially cuts fuel flow to lean out on shutoff? It's a fuel cut solenoid. Quote
philbey Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Cool - any idea what carb that was? I want to get hold of a solenoid valve that I can rig up as an anti theft device. Quote
parrot Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I think you will find virtually any late 70's onwards Toyota carb will have one. Screws into the body and has two wires (sometimes one) coming off it. If you have a look in a Toyota manual, they are identified as a fuel solenoid. I have R, T and A series manuals and they all have them. Quote
