Hey guys was wondering how much i might be looking at for a new starter motor if anyone had any idea that would be great.

Mine just randomly stopped working yesterday so ive had to push start it lol.

Someone on here might have one for sale if you checke the parts for sale area. If not just got down to your local toyota or pickapart wreckers to get one. I'm sure they wouldn't charge more than $30 as thats all they are really worth.

I have one. I was told that it had been reconditioned recently. $30 I am in Sydney. SMS me 0417 677 003 Vic.

Mine works when its hooked up to a battery, and we tested the wires that go to it and they are fine but when its installed it just makes a clicking noise and doesnt start.

Ive rung a few auto electricians and they've told me its going to cost me $150 to recondition it..

geeze.

$150 is a little steep i thought.

hmmmm

Run a jumper lead from -ve battery to the block - does that improve things?

If so, check the integrity of your earth straps.
