  1. Wow! I can't believe how long it has been since I've posted on here. Time sure does fly when you're flat out busy. I have finally started stripping the donor car. Everything is so rusted it makes it quite difficult but I'm getting there slowly :). I do have photos, and I'll try and upload them soon. It's nothing too interesting, just car parts really. On a side note, I am desperate for some storage/workshop to be able to bring the other corona to so I can actually start working on it. So if anyone in the southern suburbs of adelaide has a shed/workshop they are willing to rent out I would be very very grateful :). Cheers Jason
  2. Mystik! Long time no see my friend. Yes I would never leave the toyota scene. Love it too much!
  3. Front grille you say? I'm still interested in any parts I can get my hands on. If you're willing to sell them to me I'd be more than happy to buy them off you.
  4. Some of you may remember me, I spent a lot of time here when i was in my mid-teens. It's been a couple of years since I've had a Corolla, but since then I've branched out into bigger and better things. In particular an RT72 Corona, which is being handed down to me by my dad's uncle. So I've spent the last 12 months or so researching the car, trying to find parts. Which has turned out to be quite a difficult task, considering finding information alone is hard enough. Luckily for me, I was lucky enough one day to come across a complete car that had been sitting in a paddock for 20 years. Here are some teaser pics of the paddock car as I actually haven't got any pictures of the one I will be restoring. As you can see it is rusted to hell, but is damn near 100% complete. I bought it purely as a parts car. The one I am restoring is actually in much better condition, but still needs a ground up restoration. Here is a picture of a Corona owned by one of the members on here Gavclassic. That is my motivation for this build. If I can get my Corona to be the quality of this one, I will be a very happy man. Cheers for lookin. Jason
  5. No worries man. Hopefully when it's all hooked up it fires right up no issues. It's a k motor so I'm sure you won't have a problem ;)
  6. It blows smoke before the turbo kicks in. I have a feeling it's injectors also.
  7. I've got myself a 94 surf with a 1kz in it. At this moment I don't think it is running at 100%, but I can tell you, even though it's not running quite right it is still killer off road and on. Just don't drive behind me otherwise you'll be dutched out by black smoke. ALOT of black smoke. Still trying to determin the cause of the smoke as there is several different things it could be. Anyway, diesel all the way. And if anyone has any ideas about my black smoke issues, don't be shy.
  8. Duuuudddeee!!!! Havnt been on here in a while.... Congrats to you and Sheena though. Looks like an awesome bundle of joy! Quick question, has Ryan got dubs on godfather?? Lol
  9. Yes it's hard to hear behind the brilliant blank stare she has so professionally mastered. If you think she's bad in transformers, try watching Jennifers Body... Not even worth the lesbo scene with her and some blonde chick. But maybe if there was some boobage it'd be alright.
  10. Kinda like in the first Transformers movie where Megan Fox is talkin about the 'double pump carburetor' underneath the bonnet of the camaro. When in fact it was a fuel injection system...
  11. Steer clear of the 2.4 and 2.8 autos. They have overheating issues due to the trans cooler blocking coolant flow. If you can get your hands on a kzn130 manual which is 3.0 litre you should be relatively safe. Just give it a thorough going over by a mechanic. Cheers Jason
  12. My mate rang me tonight, tellin me that the girl who I've had a thing for since high school, actually has feelings for me too... He was quite drunk, sayin he was heaps jealous. He sure is a good mate, but what grinds my gears is that I'm goin away with some other mates for the whole long weekend and now this is goin to be playin on my mind for days... Woman... Do strange things to guys heads lol.
  13. Talkin about windscreen?? Pretty sure they are exactly the same.
  14. Ahhh shiznit!!! I've planned a camping trip this Easter weekend with a bunch of mates. Totally forgot about the cruise. Looks like I'm out for this one. Sorry guys.
  15. Tastes awesome with a bit of pub squash and lime. Straight shots is just insane.
  16. Ok it's official, I have absolutely no voice whatsoever. Mice are talking louder than me right now. I'd have to say it was probably the mix of Friday night at a local club, footy saturday morning (in which I had Vicks Vapor drops tucked in my socks), and then a massive night on the town last night, which included a lot of Bacardi 151 and Vodka. That shit will put hair on your nuts. Still mananged to bring a girl home though, which is all that matters :). Good thing I have a day off work tomorrow. Looks like I'm going to need it. But the question is... should I go out again tonight?? :)
  17. Couldn't drink much last night as I had round 1 footy today. We won by 3 goals :). Tonight is planned to be a big night. Hittin the casino then goin to some clubs in town. Still feel crook though. Cold and flu tablets and vicks vapour drops are my best friends right now :). Luckily they are only lemsip, and there is nothing on the packet about consuming alcohol.
  18. Being sick on my 18th birthday really grinds my gears.
  19. So you can obtain any of these vehicles? Obviously being a Toyota forum, people will be biased. But if it were me personaly, I would go for the 240z and the rx4. Reason being, 240z's are getting damn hard to find, and the rx4 because they are worth a fair bit these days... If it's a coupe of course. If not, then the ta22. Cheers Jason
  20. My dad owns a TH magna, 99 model. Absolutely great car, was driving it last night and tell ya what I would pick it over a commodore/falcon any day of the week. A bloke at my old work used to work at the mitsubishi factory and he beleives the '01 magna onwards are a heap of garbage, apparently the 'knock sensor' is a common problem and expensive to fix, and according to him, quite un-economical. He agrees with me that the TH is the best magna for reliability and in my opinion, looks too.
  21. Put me down for a set of those extractors please Ryan. >|
  22. Haha. The first pic is my car, but the original ke30 was in similar condition when the job got underway.
  23. Haha I like the example car you used. Too bad it wasn't actually my car we painted. Turned out awesome though Luc. Did the gun end up being alright?
