Hey guys and gals. I was seaching google for brand new ke30 bumpers but had no such luck, but I did stumble across this. It's a 'brand new bumper for ke30 76-78'. It's a Filipino web site and it all looks relatively legit, but when you zoom in to see a close up of the bumper, it doesn't look like a ke30 bumper at all. I was just wondering if anyone else here has had a look at this site and wanna get there thoughts. Here's the LINK Cheers, Jason

Yea I think I'll be goin with the deadener. Which I'll have to get off you Ryan :D Ok so I went down to my local Pedders buddies about the front suspension setup, and here's what we have in mind. He will try and source an adjustable shocker from somewhere because as far as we know no-one makes one for a ke30/55. And because it will cost $400 just for an above standard shocker, he did some investigationing and found out that you can get sports mr2 shockers that will fit into the ke55 struts, but, they are a tad too short. So to stop it from bottoming out, all we'd have to do is make a spacer of some kind and put it in the bottom of the strut chamber and the problem would be fixed. I'll be taking a strut down to him on the weekend so he can have a thourough look at it. Also he is going to source the best possibe bushes and a heavy duty front sway bar for the girl. But i need to know, how thick is a stock 55 sway bar? Unfortunately I don't have vernier calipers to measure mine.

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I've been busy as with my new job so haven't really had the time to work on this beast. But now that I'm gettin into the swing of things I'm gonna start puttin my head down with the ke55. First things first, i'm dismantling the front suspension and putting brand new shockers, bushes and brakes in. And I figure while everything is out, I'm gonna clean up and respray the inner guard area. I'm wondering whether to use 2pak black or just go with some enamel black? Anyway I'll keep everyone updated with her progress.

Some of them look like they would actually scrub up quite nicely with a 'little' bit of TLC.

Not true, I seen it in a lite-ace?? Unless someone has taken the motor out or the van has been crushed I'd say it's still there. It's towards the back of the commercial vehicle section.

did anyone else see the ke20 that was for sale on junk food corner?? Looked quite nice really. Didn't have a price on it though.

You shouldn't have to change your boss kit over as a new steering wheel should fit straight on. You could try and get some of those halogen lights from autobahn or something. I know exactly what you mean when you're talkin about driving by candle light. Ke30/55 lights suck ass. Oh and congrats on the wedding. My sister's wedding was yesterday, was an awesome day and I guarentee you guys will have a blast :)

13mm is quite common really. I bought a cheap 1/4 inch drive socket set. Supatool was the brand. It didn't even come with a 12mm, it went straight from 11mm to 13mm haha. How stupid is that??

Haha. Good one Trev. WGMG!! I had to rush after work to go and get a haircut because my sister's wedding is on saturday. When I got there, there was this hot as f*ck hairdresser who was gonna cut my hair. I sat down and put my head foward so she could start doin the back of my hair then BOOM. Nosebleed. Luckily she was really nice and got me tissues and whatnot. Every freakin year at this time I suffer nosebleeds. Right now I'm getting at least two nosebleeds per day. It's so frustrating and inconvenient. And that one at the hairdressers is the last straw!! I'm gonna go see a doctor to get it colated.

These things are awesome. I forgive you that it's not a toyota. I would love to own a volky fastback one day. Looks like you've already started to make it look freakin sweet so definitely bring it on a cruise one day. You have great taste in cars Troy!

I guarentee if you hang around this forum for a couple of months your knowledge about everything corolla related will go through the roof. Porting the bores of the engine actually requires the engine to be removed first. Then stripping the engine down to nothing but the engine block. And then taking it to an engine rebuilder. I would probably recomend Lonsdale Engine Worx. They've done the odd k series engine so they know what they are doing. As for carburetters, probably one of the most simple upgrades would be to a Webber Carburetter. Anyway give Lonsdale Engine Worx a ring and they will give you all the details you need to know.

Konig rewinds are very similar to wantanabies really. And those SSR Longchamps are pretty sweet lookin too. I'm not fussed how much I gotta pay as long as it's under $1000 for wheels. So those Konigs would be sweet as. How difficult are they to get?

Yes it is. Quite a nice colour really. But if I was to do mine that colour it would be slightly different. More like the ford ute.

Oh and I thought I should mention that I am doing this car up as a ke30 lookalike. Not the biggest fan of the ke55 stylings. So that means it will have ke30 bumpers, grille, headlights and bonnet. Everything else will be staying as is.

Yes they did come out with an aqua type colour, quite rare too. I've only seen a couple of them. One of them being at upi right now. The ford colour is quite nice i reckon and would look good with my already silver engine bay. I had a look on ebay at brand new rubbers for the entire car and Bangkok Parts is selling a 7 piece set for $129. Quite cheap really. Has anyone bought these off ebay before? Would I be better off buying a set locally?

I've been thinking about what colour I want to paint this beast. And knowing me, I want something out there and out of the ordinary. These are my ideas and I want some peoples opinions.
