Anyone going tonight? I might be keen for some pizza. -
Yea I did actually... Still freakin pissed off though

Yep I seen you in your missus car as well. That thing is overrated. I actually see it everyday cause I drive past your school everyday after work. I should probably drop in one day for a looksy. Next time I see it there I'll drop in and say hi. It's kinda hard to make a split decision and turn in to your school cause of all the traffic though. :P

WGMG Trying to get rid of a hilux 4x4 that i bought on impulse when I was 15, paying way to much for it and it hasn't even moved since I've had it. Not even wreckers are interested in it because it's 'too old'. Might end up going down to scrap metal. Oh and I'm lookin for a cheap runabout that will get me from Ato B for a couple of months while I do some work on my ke30. Went down to a local car yard where I know they have shitboxes around the back. Saw a ke70, rusted to hell and interior was shotty but mechanically sound. I thought 'yea this would do just fine' considering I only needed it for a couple of months. Then they said that they wanted $650 for it. WTF!! Whatever happened to being able to buy half decent runabout cars for under $500? FUUUCCCCKKKKKKKK!!!!!

Thats an awesome two door you found. Super jealous

Oh my Lord... that thing is nuts!

New WGMG for today, The guy at the wreckers charging me $5 for a new clip for the clutch cable. The damn this is probably worth less than 5 cents.

Haha come to think of it I haven't ever gotten around to puttin that splash sheild back on after I took it off for some reason or another (memory fades me). Should probably get around to doin that sometime soon. It might also be the fact that I have two massive gaping holes in my bonnet :jamie:. Thats ok though cause I have a new bonnet going on soon. I would update my rides thread cause I've done a fair bit to the old 30 now but my damn camera broke.

Holy shit... that thing would make mince meat of that 70 lol
-
True. But I could barely get the damn thing started again cause my distributor was full of water which always seems to happen when it rains heavily.

Good ol' hilux motors. Never say die. WGMG Breaking down during a terrential downpour on my way home from work. The clip that holds the clutch cable in place at the firewall decided to fly off somewhere. Managed to solve the issue with a hose clamp which got me the 20kms home. Luckily it happened 50 metres away from boostworx so they helped me out. Got absolutely saturated down to my underwear though :jamie:. Note to self: always have a spare pair of underwear in your boot somewhere. You never know when your gonna need them.

Maybe that lookout spot on south road? When your going up O'Hallaron Hill. About halfway up you go into this gravel carpark that looks over alot of Adelaide. The lack of light might be a problem though.

That exhaust fix is freakin hilarious. Great job lol

I'm gonna go all out and say an MX83 Cressida would be perfect for you. Luxurious, fairly cheap, can be put on LPG and its quite large on the inside and has a pretty big boot area.

Dude I have some in my backyard, the ones we got from upi. Come around and pick them up if you want.

Mettalic purple would look pretty nice on a ke35. But as coln72 said, coupes love bright colours.
-

Scary Experiences In Wet And Windy Conditions!!

I didn't exactly mean totally release the accelerator, just kind of back it off a bit to gain control again. I've been thinking about taking one of those advanced driver training courses. But being in S.A makes it pretty difficult. Oh.. and it was in my ke30  -
Haha. Even highway patrol officers can't resist an icy cold TEDS

Scary Experiences In Wet And Windy Conditions!!
Jason KE30 replied to ke71-rolla's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
When I first got my P's my mate rang me up (he has a ke70) when it was raining and asked if I wanted to go out and do some skids. So of course I agreed. On my way to his place it had only just stopped raining so the road was pretty wet. I had stockies on with tyres that were 7 years old, rock hard with not too much grip. I stopped at a T intersection and decided to gun it to warm up the tyres abit. Little did I know how much this thing would slide out. I was very close to spining out while trying to correct it so I was doing snakies over 3 lanes, cutting off a 4x4 trying to gain control. I didn't realise that my foot was still flat to the floor and as soon as I did I took my foot off the accelerator after goin back and forth over the 3 lanes about 5 times. Once I finally got the control of the car back I was shitting myself and I looked up the road and all I saw was a cop car looking right at me. Me: OH SH!T!!! The cop pulled me over and two fairly young guys stepped out. Cop #1: "You wanna explain what just happened?" Me: "Yes, sorry officer, um... ahhh... I've only been on my P's for about 6 weeks and it hasn't rained since I got them. I think I just went a bit too quick around the corner and I lost control." Cop #2: "You do realise you could have killed someone right?" Me: "Yes I do officer, very sorry, I'll definitely go slower next time." Cop #1: "Well you better make damn sure you go slower next time mate. We'll just give you a warning but just slow down." So yea, lesson learnt. Don't go and do stupid stuff in the wet with 7 year old stockies on the back. And also, release the accelerator if you start goin sideways or else you'll find yourself in a whole mess of strife. I still can't believe how lucky I was to get away without a fine, loss of licence, or a defect!
