April 22, 200917 yr comment_338624 I'm about to buy a set of camshafts for my 4age 20v blacktop there going to be 272 with 8.5 lift .would i have to change the springs ? and is that the best profile for hill climbs as i want a lot of bottom end power Edited April 22, 200917 yr by srad Report
April 23, 200917 yr comment_338984 valve springs should be fine if your staying within the standard rev limit. as you may have already found 20v's do tend to lack bottom end grunt, a short diff ratio/smaller tyre diameter would help keep revs up. i would have thought and in my experience that i don't use the bottom end revs (below 4,000) at all on hill climbs or the power dies. i am running a 290degree cam tho :hmm: but its great fun Edited April 23, 200917 yr by tas_ae71 Report

I find my engine and a friends have stacks of low down power. Did the 20's you drove have a good tune with an aftermarket ecu? Report
