hi all

i have just recently bought a ae82 with a blacktop 4age engine installed.the problem is that it has a auto gearbox and is driving me mad.I'm looking at converting it to manual but I'm not sure if the auto ecu will be ok to use with the manual gearbox. do i have to bridge anything out at the ecu in order for the standard ecu to work? i have been told that the auto and manual wiring harness plugs are different. any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

The blacktop auto ecu will be ok. When you change to a manual gearbox you can disconnect all of the auto trans connections except for the neutral start switch (NSW) which is pin number 22 on the 22 pin plug.
