shelly Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 Hi there I've got a straight ke35 coupe that my dad and I are doing up for my first car. We've just put in a 5k 1500 with a 5 speed that we think would be a k50. However... the gearbox is stuffed we're thinking it's the shaft; the box wines when the clutch is out so we put a clutch kit in it but the noise persisted... this leads us to thinking it's the shaft for it had a bit of play. I desperately wish to continue with this project but am unable to find another 5 speed (don't want to put a 4 speed back in it) and as I live in the northern territory the wreckers are a dead end. I was wondering if someone could give me a list of cars that have k50's in them or an alternate engine and where I could find one. Thanks for any assistance you may be able to give. -shelly Quote

roladude Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 Hey a Darwinite. I seen this car before I left Darwin. Try a toyota Liteace I think thay are KM36 that should have a gearbox that shoud get you out of trouble. Or further in it :P . I sure someone in Darwin should be able to help. Have you tried Japenese Auto mart on Winnelie road. I used to get heaps of parts of them. If they don't have it they should be able to get it. Quote
