Felix Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Boge shocks are good and oem for BMW. The thing you need to ask yourself is how you are going to fit coils to your rear suspension when it has leaf springs from the factory? Quote

Evan G Posted June 29, 2009 Author Report Posted June 29, 2009 Yep, no worries. I understand now. :) have u dealt with boge shocks before? Quote
Felix Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 (edited) They're in my E32 BMW. The car has awesome handling for its' size. The ride is firmish, yet compliant, and very sporting. The car has the factory sports suspension, so the shocks and springs are well matched. Yea I'm impressed. When the shocks need replacing I'd go for more Boge's. Edited June 29, 2009 by Felix Quote
philbey Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 911's were also factory for a lot of years (70's) with Boge and as far as I know they are well regarded, although 911 owners looking for a sportier, stiffer ride will change them to the Bilsteins. Quote

Felix Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 (edited) Do a search on google. You will find that Boge's are considered to be way better than Munroe and even KYB. If you are going for a race/drift setup look at Bilsteins or Koni's, though expect to pay a LOT more. Edited June 30, 2009 by Felix Quote

britannysmoosh Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 BOGE shock, TOKICO,KYB or ???? which is the way to go for great handling. Possibly w / 1+ lowering springs Quote
GJM85 Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) I have boge VW MKI inserts in my ke20 struts and boge ke55 rear shocks in my ke20. Not on the road yet but it seems rock solid. The ke55 rear shocks are about 1 inch wider in diametre than the orininal ke20 KYB's that came out so that's a plus. Though i'm led to believe KYB and Boge come from the same manufacturer but are sold by different distributors. Edited March 31, 2011 by GJM85 Quote
