Reaper_Mobb Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 Hey guys, First post so please be gentle :sob: I just got a KE70, only one owner but its done 445000+ still runs very well and was well looked after only tube and the such is not stock. The guy I got it off can't drive any more (he is about 80 and didn't think it was a good idea). The body work was looked after very well but in the last few years looks like it has been let go (can’t blame the old guy). My question to you is what panels can I take off? for some reason my old man is convinces the panel behind the rear wheel is removable but I cannot see any way of doing that and it just so happens its been hit worst but the red worm. And from what I have read (Google rocks!) its normally the worst part so I don’t think it will be easy to get a straight swap... Quote
7shades Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 Unfortunately you're right, that panel forms part of the bodyshell and is tack welded to the frame, along with the rear valance and taillight panel. No easy way to fix up the dreaded tinworm in these things, you'll have to go old school cut n shut with new metal, effectively making your own replacement sections as you go. Best of luck. :sob: Quote
