Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 hey guys ive heard from many people that 4ks don't blow head gaskets? tonight i blew my head gasket. took head off there is 2 crack between to diff pistons (or cyl whatever they are lol) and 1 on the outside? is it normal to blow a head that bad in one go or does it mean i have other major problems with the car to make this happen? anyhelp is appreciated Quote

These cracks you speak of - are they in the head or the head gasket or the block. Because if it's the head, or block, you're screwed. Reweld will be expensive, you're better off getting a replacement head/motor etc. Quote
