Help With 1982 Ke70 Idles But Wont Rev!

hey guys, just bought a 1982 KE70, had been sitting for 2 yrs straight. have fixed everything and replaced everthing, runs nice.

 

however, it only idles, and its rough, as soon as i accelerate it dies??

 

wondering if its anything to do with timing or the points? but can't find the measurements for the point gaps, can anybody help out here? not sure what distributor it is either..

 

also, which is the fuel/air mix? and how do i tune the car properly so idle and fuel/air mix all run sweet?

I'm new at all this car tuning stuff.

hi rhys. it would most definitely be your carby. sounds like blocked jets. i think it would be a good idea to give your carby an overhaul or replace the one you have. its hard for us to tell whats wrong with your car over the internet. should ask family members friends etc if they know anything about carby cars. chances are they've owned a few!

yea me and my brother cleaned the jets but still nothing..would it have anything to do with the timing at all?

 

either way i still need to redo the points in the distributor, would you have any idea on what they should be? and the firing order?
