Kaz
Just been having problems with the A/C lately. After pressing either the A/C button or ECON button there's no sign of the A/C compressor turning on. No fluctuation in the rev's, can't hear the compressor. Does anyone know what the problem is? also, is there a downloadable Technical Manual? Cheers Edit. Just wanna clarify that its an AE100 Corolla. Medicine_Man
Do you have all fan speeds? checked fuses?
Kaz
Do you have all fan speeds? checked fuses? All the fan speeds work. I've checked this 30A fuse, and it seems to be fine. I'm not sure about the relays, i can't hear them clicking. As you can see the on/off light turns on with the button. is there anything else i can check? Medicine_Man
With a test light or multimeter, see if you have 12v going to the clutch wire on your compressor when your a/c switch and fan are on..
Kaz
With a test light or multimeter, see if you have 12v going to the clutch wire on your compressor when your a/c switch and fan are on.. there's a 4 pin circular connector on the compressor, i tested the pins inside that and didn't get any voltage. however there are 2 other connectors coming off the compressor, one has a single wire and the other had two wires - i wasn't able to disconnect them to test. Medicine_Man
It is usually the single wire that is the clutch coil wires, If the clutch coil is not getting powered it could be by a lack of a/c pressure in the system not causing one of the pressure switches to close its contacts and feed it..
