well got the head off and all the holes where the the water goes was clog shut with crap, and heaps of crap down the holes in the engine. how do i get that out , i think it came out of radiator ,will be getting that done but its kind of like mud .and it a 4kc. any help

If you're sending the head and block off to a workshop for something they will clean them far better than you ever can at home.

 

I turned the block on its side and scraped around inside the waterways with a screwdriver then flipped it upside down now and then and banged it on a couple of bits of wood.

Some of the holes between the head & block get blocked by the gasket as Toyota wanted little flow at the front and maximum flow at the back of the engine.

 

When you put it back together put a stocking over the top rad hose as a filter for a week or two.
