ill be driving, put my foot on the clutch and my car will just turn off...i'll start on the accel again and it starts again like it's roll starting itself. any ideas?

 

also when i'm at lights i have to manually rev to keep the car going...it doesnt idle

 

any probs? the guy i bought it off said it had a stretched choke cable could this be it?

this is exact thing happened to me, the idle solinoid had come off the carby causin it not to idle and runs a lil rough, usualy its located just under the spring on the carby by the choke and it runs 12v to it, chase it back, check it, check voltage, replace if need be ? but that happened to me i just pluged it back in and she ran like a dream !

..and faiing that most likely explanation, you might have to chase the idle jet system for dirt, or even any air leaks in the intake system.
