Heya, I have my daily drive that I wish to trade.

 

The details of the car are as follows:

 

Car: 1997 Holden Commodore Series 2 Equipe

Engine: 3.8L V6, relatively fuel efficient

Transmission: Automatic

Kms: 188,000km

Service Record: log books up to 170,000km. has recently had new water pump, ignition leads, fan belt, air filter, cold air induction, rear brake pads.

Features: power windows, mirrors and steering. also has a 10 cd stacker, tow bar, trailer power point. also has tint windows, alarm, csa mag wheels and sports muffler

Registration: fresh 3 months rego

Positives: overall good condition and is very reliable. car drives extremely well and all maintenance has been kept up to date.

Negatives: only known issue to me is the antenna casing needs replacing, motor works fine but the casing snapped off. also has a few very minor scratches here and there as to be expected of a daily driver of this age

Reason For Sale: i hate automatics and wish to get back into a manual car again

 

 

basically, ive spent a fair bit of money maintaining this car to its original, excellent condition, so i want to trade it for something of similar value, which i am going to say is around the $4500 negotiable. I will also trade for something of lesser value with cash my way and i may also consider trading and putting up to $500 towards the right car.

 

theres a long list of cars that I'm interested it which i will put up after this. i only want something manual and rear-wheel drive, so feel free to tell me what you have to offer, but please no automatics or front wheel drives. i also don't mind whether the car is turbo or not, I'm being realistic and appreciate turbo cars are generally out of my budget range here. the cars I'm interested in are as follows:

Yes sir that is the one! just got some new point and plugs today. the 4k has an electronic dizzy, extractors, 2" exhaust, 32/36 webber, and is running pretty sweet as i just got back from my mates house and we gave it a service and tune!!

 

oh yeah, forgot to add i have a pretty serious alarm system for it just needs to be installed.

ah right ok, so how many kms does the engine and the car have?

straight swap for my ke25? :P

in all honesty i couldnt tell you how many ks the engine has but the odometer on the car has 376000 kms, but the front struts are celica ones with bigger brakes, and the bushes are new etc. i think the person before me did it up as a good little car but then ended up neglecting it a bit which is why it needs some attention now to get it back to looking schmick again.

 

the 5k engine i have i was told had 90000 odd kms on it by the guy at toyoland i bought it from.

fair enough then, so does the ke55 require any work done to it at the moment? did you get all the rust sorted out and that issue with the relay/alternator/battery/thing?
