Just got my hands on a ke70 slanty front finally after looking around for a while,

was wondering if anyone had any answers to a couple of questionss,

 

1. Is it possible to convert a slanty front to a flat front, if so what will i need?

 

2. Power Steering - can it be done, and what is needed aswell?

 

3. Coilover set for the front suspension, will i need ae86 ones, or are they ke70 coilovers

 

4. and a good pair of shocks and springs for the rear.

 

5. Chrome Bumbers, can't find these anywhere!

 

Car will be welded, and my daily and mostly sliding around everywhere.

um i can help you with slanty to flat, yes it can be done. you need:

 

- Flat front bonnet

- Flat front guards

- Flat front lights and grill

- Flat front beaver panel

- Flat front bumper

- Flat front radiator support (can be done without this but you need to make up brackets for the lights, i've done this conversion and the brakcets aren't that hard, but they are a little bit dicky)

 

i think thats about it. basically take off old slanty parts, put on just as old flat parts!

 

the rest i can't really help with, there's a seller in the for sale section on this site that sells chrome bumpers and stuff, but they are still pretty expensive as they're pretty rare. they do look dope tho.

 

PS oh, peddars rear springs are good, i have them, just the sports low, and the peddars short stroke shockies are good too, nice and stiff but also leave a bit of streetability, you can screw around with falcon springs and all sorts of shocks and shit for the rear, but they way i see it, just get whats been designed for it, might cost a bit more but atleast you know you've got the good stuff. :yes: :hmm:

Power steering oh how i dream of that. It can be done if you have the dollars. Like rainwarrior said slant is just a modified flat front. Everything bolts in pretty much. Chrome bumpers would cost more than my car did for a nice fresh set. Depends on what type you want too. Front struts there are too many options. Hunt around the keXX discussion board and check out e7 rides threads. Or check out the knowledge base/FAQ. Its all here somewhere!

thanks guy, just need to find a cheap ke70 to wreck flat front,

spewing i sold my ke70 flat front wagon haha, ill check out the chrome bumpers and all that,

it will be a project car but still for the road at the same time, so not looking to do any major mods just small really, thanks for the help
