73KE20 Posted May 31, 2010 Author Report Posted May 31, 2010 nah i didn't even put 4 new 1's in just replaced the stuffed 1's with a couple old 1's, I'm going to get sum Denso plugs for it next weekend, and yeah same never had an issue until now, and the plugs weren't that fouled up at all, and yeah BP5EYS Ive driven it a fair bit now and runs like a charm, even on a cold start idles at 950rpm with no choke Quote
ke70dave Posted May 31, 2010 Report Posted May 31, 2010 next time it happends try attacking the spark plugs with a wire brush rather than buying new ones. ive fouled up plugs a few times to the point where they didnt fire (carby dramas causing uber rich), then after fixing carby i gave the plugs a good go with carby cleaner and a wire brush, re set the gap, came up like new, and worked perfectly for years after. good to see you got it sorted, happy corolla engines make for happy corolla owners!
