WagonMafia Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Here's the newest addition to Wagon Mafia, Havasu Chapter. She's a 1980 Corolla wagon, 3TC with an Auto trans. The car was bone stock when we got it a couple of weeks ago, picked it up right. Someone towed it wbehind a motorhome or something, so there was a big ole' gnarly towbar in the front, and they did a horrible DIY trailer light kit, and whoever did it obviously was not a technician. As you can see, the floors are all there, and the car is pretty solid, some scrapes and bumps, but overall not bad for the money. Just threw on some XXR 513s 15X7s today in gunmetal, they match the car really well. Now we need to drop it. Also picked up some Recaros out of a VW, so I need to weld up some bracketry soon. We're really hoping to get her ready for JCCS 2010 on Sept 12th, but we shall see. I went through it and did an extensive tune-up, including plugs, wires, VC gasket and grommets, cap, rotor, f. filter, a. filter, and oil & filter, charged the battery, and filled it with Chevron 91 (since everywhere else cuts their fuel with ethanol). Afterwards, it seems to run great, with the exception of a super noisy p/s pully/bearing, so I need to replace that. Any idea if the pully comes with te bearing, or do i need to get an entire pump? And does anyone know where I can get sealed beam conversion housings? This thing needs HIDs. Lemmie know what U all think! Quote
