Before Trev beats me to it:

flamingheads, did you even bother to look yourself to see if the info that Zoidburg is after is even in the FAQ? Clearly not, I now propose that you receive a good flaming.

I use BP6EY's in my 5K. I've also run BP5EY, no real issues with either, I think I changed to a slightly cooler plug.

As for timing, for a stock motor running 91, probably about 7 degrees should do.

Okay, thanks.

The motor is not stock. It has 40 thou oversize pistons, double row timing chain, stainless steel rings, and the head has been ported, polished and shaved. It also has had a solid lifter conversion.

So the plugs out of my 3K will go in the 5K no problems? I just thought they might be a different length, due to the 5K head being shallower than the others.

Cheers

If in doubt screw in 1 spark plug and kick the motor over by hand. I used to run EB falcon plugs in my 5K because they were a bit longer and put the spark closer to the middle of the combustion chamber.
