Probably start a new thread when it finally gets rego. Just a quick recap.
Engine swap and everything went fine at the inspection station but a number of things weren't up to scratch. New brake line, and put new ball joints in the LCA's. Took it back, failed again. Replaced brake pedal rubber, replaced tie rod, replaced tie rod end, tightened wheel hub. Failed again.
"Excessive movement in steering rack R.H.S."
Replacing the rack and pinion as soon as the replacement gets here and give it a general cleaning, which will hopefully fix the problem. The replacement is a Quaife quick rack.
Other items of note are my AE86 struts, which I will be sending to AJPS for coilovers as soon as I scrounge up the money. Getting some T3 steering knuckles to go with it, which like most things it seems are cheaper to buy from the US and pay postage than they are to buy from local distributor.
