So as to not clog up the for sale thread on the Kamei lips, can you get more pics of how it looks? Side angle maybe?

DWF-55 very nice! :hmm:

You can do a of good mods with a Laser.

Rust in arches and under boot tyre. I say go it.

You probably could make some reasonable power of it, but what would you be putting it in? If you put it in a Corolla that came stock with a 1 liter engine then yes, smashing idea. Otherwise, I strongly recommend looking at other ways of making power. Real bare bones performance engine tuning, that way in 12 months or however long until you can legally use a turbo, you will already have an engine that is out performing most boosted engines anyway. Smack a turbo on that and you'll be laughing. Or if you just want to learn about turbo's from some reason other than performance, I would say under a liter engine is the way to go.

One of the cleanest builds I've seen, definitely the cleanest sr20 build. Kudos sir!

Nah I don't drive one but when I was on my Learners I switched between my dads turbo diesel Pajero and my mums Mazda 6 hatch, so I'm reasonably well versed in the difference in driving between the two. Obviously seperate licensing isn't the go, it's just about changing the perception to stop these people from buying them.

What is the noise like, are there many yahoo's about?

I agree with this 100%. The car has deteriorated in a very aesthetically pleasing way. Money would be best spent on getting it to go fast and hard!

Oh that is fantastic to hear! I was worried it would be a Riverside equivelant of Ravenswood or something. Yeah views from the property look great so I guess I should definitely throw my hat in the ring. The property has a flat concrete bit far car parking which is fortunate, especially considering most CBD places don't even have room for a car. Thanks for the tip Taz, look forward to getting some more info!

To my fellow Taswegians, particularly those in the north. I'm currently looking at a few properties to rent for the next six months in sort of CBD area of Launceston, but there is a place on Trevallyn Rd. I'm looking at as well. Has anyone here got experience in Trevallyn, what's it like as a suburb? Is it very noisy? How is it getting to town/around?

I know it's probably not what you're posting for, but how beautiful does Cairns look! I've heard people say it's a great place, but wow! And a proper biodiesel place as well! :)

As you say, no it won't be worth it. If you're desperate to have a turbo and you're on your P plates, either get a track car, or if memory serves you can have a car that's under a liter and have a turbo. So get some tiny little engine 997cc engine and put a whopping great turbo on it. Turbo diesel in a rolla probably wouldn't be particularly fun either, at least not compared to all the other amazingly great things you can put in them. Forced induction is great for quick power gains, but to get loads of horsepower out of a car there are many more ways to do it.

White Ke2x - Almost Causing Accidents Twice In Two Days

That is one beautiful Corolla! -
Yeah but the problem is being in a big 4WD you feel more comfortable taking risks. You're sitting up a lot high than the other cars and it gives you a sense of power. If there were in a tiny little low to the ground car, then it's entirely plausible that they'd be more cautious because it actually feels like they're on the road with other people. As oppose to feeling like there's a road with people on it, and they're just happily driving over the top of it all.
-
To buy them new you're looking at between 1500 - 2000 dollars. Probably get your engine in and the car going and everything then look at other mods you can do I reckon. If you want low end power you'll get that with forced induction like turbo and supercharging. Quad throttle bodies are opening up more air flow so that's geared more towards high revving engines that are generally naturally aspirated. So in terms of 4AGEs and for simplicity sake, if you want quad throttle bodies and high end power with lots of revs go the 4AGE 20valve. If you want low end power so you're quick off the line and you can dorifto and go hooning around corners, go the 4AGZE.
-
Not sure of your location, a lot more 4AG*s on the mainland than in Tassie. Don't even need to change the mounts with the AE71, just pop it in. You'd definitely be able to put the engine in for 2-3000 dollars, especially if that budget doesn't include getting the car to start with. I'd even say with that budget you could do the suspension and brake upgrades etc. that you need for roadworthy if you're patient and handy with a spanner (or know someone who is). If you want grunt definitely go the supercharged, good low end power. Making them RWD from FWD isn't too much of a challenge and a few build threads should show you easily what you need to do. For your budget though you'd probably be able to even pick up a 4AGZE RWD half cut and then you're ready to go! Biggest thing is to read some build threads though so you know what you're in for. Good luck!

As he's using stock front struts my money would be on none. None yet anyway (hopefully). I would love more photos of the engine bay please, looks like you did a good job!

You must have a very tall navigator!
-
Are you talking about JDM55 or james1989? Joke!
-
Seriously read the other build threads. There are even multiple threads about this exact same thing on this forum. Search is top left hand corner. You can get just about anything engineered, so yes. Other mods? Is your car roadworthy now? New brakes, suspension, steering, differential etc. "What brakes are good for this setup?". Don't ask that, read the build threads. EDIT: Read this.

The answer is: Yes. The supplementary is: Google. One google with the words KE30 + SR20 gave me a list of directly applicable websites. I do not believe you couldn't find any information.

So you just sanded and polished the KE70 booster? Looks fan-tastic. Did you get a banjo of something else to get the Pajero master to fit or something totally custom?
