Well I have been particularly keen on a Beams 3S-GE. Legality wise the same mate says forget it due to the problems needing to have the same catalytic converter setup, noise reduction as the Altezza would have had to begin with. Aside from a Beams 3S-GE I had just planned on the 20v for obvious reasons, particularly as I'm an N/A fan. 20v conversion is costly in itself though, as you would be well aware.

Hi all, I was thinking about buying a half cut to do my engine conversion. But in talking to a mate he thinks that buying half cuts is the worst thing you can do. He said that most half cuts you buy, you can't tell what damage has been done to them as most of the car isn't there. Based on what I've read in the forums buying a half cut is the way to go. Apart from buying a wrecked car myself at auction that is. Can someone give advice on dangers of buying half cuts, if anyone has had any problems in doing so? Cheers

Are you using Kings lows/super lows? Also, how much did you pay for the 5 speed gearbox, was it hard getting it in there? Loving your work as always blzbub!

It seems like it really came together well for you when you put in the hours. Did you have all of your equipment, parts ready to pop in and customed or are you a backyard fabricator? Particularly large wallet maybe? Tips from someone who pulled it off would be great inspiration!

Prime choice of colour if I may bring something to the table. Has the classic old KE feel but with a contemporary twist. Would look nice with a pearl maybe!

That is insane! Is it worth it though? I haven't done it myself but I would have thought there would be a quicker and easier option. The diff has been at the new place for months already hasn't it? PS: My timeline for this build is choppy as I just it from start to end.

After several years of talking about your diff alone, probably time to take a break from the car. What happened man?

Front end is different, but I think you can replace the entire front end off a KE70. So you couldn't just switch the lights.

There's a hostel type place in Launnie across the road from the park near Video City. It's called Launceston Backpackers. They have twin share rooms and such, pretty neat and tidy place not over the top. Always has a bed available, especially in the separate rooms as it mostly caters to, well obviously, backpackers.

Yeah definitely go matte black. Maybe get some 18 inch chrome wheels, darkest legal tint for the windows. Oh get some neon lights for it to, like all over it man, and under it naturally.

Depends what you mean by work. Usually a service on the engine, change the oil and so on, and clean it like there's no tomorrow. Polish and buff it to a mirror finish!

Sorry was a joke, that's why I said it was a stock car, implying all Japanese cars are Bosozoku.
