Pics are alright, some nice wheels, but maybe come up with a slightly more subtle watermark?

Hey could be keen myself to roll with the old AE92.
-
Yes and I agree but again he said he wants a KE70 and a 4AGE if it's cheap. He does not want an AE82, full stop. He only wants a 4AGE as a secondary option if available. His primary concern is a KE70, and a budget of three grand is enough to get a KE70 up and running with some okay parts if you hunt for cheap ones and can do the work yourself. Sure, it'll probably be using the stock engine with some mods, but at the end of the day that is what he wants. If I'm completely misinterpreting your desires iwontarolla I apologise. Just the way I'm interpreting it.
-
He did say however that his primary aim was the KE70 and would only get a 4AGE if it was cheap.
-
Sounds good. May I ask what inspired you to start a KE70/4AGE?
-
Sounds like a plan. Maybe put some specific requests in the Wanted To Buy section. By 16 valve if it's the right price, do you mean you want a 4AGE?
-
Yeah if I purchase some, I'm guessing they won't fit directly on to the fitting in the door. Do you think it would be so significant as to not bother trying?
-
Does anyone know how hard it would be to get these on a KE70?
-
Where are you sourcing your door and boot rubber kit?
-
Ghostbusters.

I spent all my money on a KE70  I'll swap you an unregistered, not running KE70 with spares! :)
-
Good choice, was researching E series myself.
-
Have you tried Google or searching the forums? Also a lot of engines have specific information on what to do performance wise for the cams. Soo if you told us what the engine was, then at least we could point to the information already available..?

I REALLY, REALLY want this car :sob It's the one that's always parked near Rare Spares right? So beautiful.
-
Haha I think most people would agree that black would look better aswell. But I'm for red and that's the main thing at the end of the day I think. Also I'm something of a Nazi when it comes to keeping my cars clean, so hopefully it shouldn't present a problem :(
-
Haha yeah got your beast on my Bookmarks! Real inspiration mate. What did you use for your cards though?
-
Quick mock up of what the door panels will be. Got the fabric, just need to find some new board to make the panels out of! Going to paint the handle and roller black most likely and touch up the paint above the panel. Imagine, fresh painted white exterior and doors, red dash, sports steering wheel, red carpet and red seats. Not all in the same shade or material of course :(

It's commonly referred to as the TEQ logo as that's what the letters looks like in our alphabet. I believe however that it is simply the Kanji for Toyota. So if you want a big one, probably google images TEQ or TEQ logo, that sort of thing. Oh also it's the lucky eight strokes. So don't spray paint it on your bonnet or something ridiculous like that or else Japanese monsters will eat you.

Oh my god! The one on car domain makes me want to cry! How nice did it look four months back, compared to now? If you want to do that, buy some bomby piece of crap to spend time and money on to make it look like a mustang, don't desecrate a classic! :(
-
Hey thanks that is encouraging! Putting the spare 4K engine in after it gets a clean and touch up. :y:
-
You sir, are a genius. Just cleaned it up then and tried it with the old carpet. It is going to look absolutely overrated with the new one! Is there going to be a Ke** cruise coming up soon?

Hey Tassie regional leader ftw! I live in Launceston for Uni, but go all over the place really. Family in Hobart, Queenstown, Deloraine, so I drive about a bit. Got a console for it, but cos I'm doing a red interior I want to strip out as much as I can. Do as little painted plastic as possible, so if I could just have it as the dash painted red, it won't stand out as being painted so much. Taken out the sound system. If I was going to have one it'd have to be pretty decent set up, and I'd rather spend the money I could on that, on other things. So the only music in the car will be the engine, the road and the radio. Haven't picked up the carpet yet, going to go with Knox though I reckon. Can you recommend them? Is their cheaper loop pile decent enough quality? Also with the shifter, it's just going back to the simplicity thing really. Just want it to look as clean and spartan as possible without looking like a track car.

Jello everybody, thought I would finally introduce myself and my machine. It is a 1984 KE70. Plans include, flat front end, chrome bumpers, chrome trim tail lights, Datsun 280 side repeater indicators, redo interior in red, full respray in crisp white, and renovate my 4K to look shiny! We currently live in Tasmania, all over the state actually! It needs to get RWC for rego however. Can I get RWC while missing this bit? I will clean up the wires and such, but do you need that part of the console? Also, I'm putting in new carpet. Can I cut a hole in my carpet to just go around the geartstick rubber, without having the sheath? As it's new carpet it'll look very proper and not gaping like this hole here.
