  4. Hello I am a complete idiot. I am under the impression the type of diff I use will directly affect which brakes I use and a few other things. Is this true? Why is it so? If I use a TA22 diff, because I want big wheels on my KE70, which brakes will work with it? Can I just use a TA22 diff and stock everything else?

  6. If you mean the red molding in the bumper, I agree it clashes. Hard to find locally though where I am. Would look alright with the chrome striping, black would also look alright and is easy to find. Though you already know this :thumbsup:

  11. My old man's Holden Gemini was pretty heavily modded. The odometer was specially set with additional digits. Was fully sealed, compressed air canisters, rear head lights were converted into boost packs. Odometer had roughly 356,000,000 kilometers on it before it was decommissioned. Went to Proxima Centauri system to pick up some space sluts. Mostly just there and back but went for a few hoons to nearby makeout moons every now and then. Pics up soon. :blush: I win.
  12. Hey thanks Kenut, I was a bit concerned that I might go looking for one but that they'd all be in that condition. As seems to be the case with many older parts, if one's broken, chances are they all are.

  14. My Ke70's coolant tank has a whopping hole in the top, and a crack aswell. Whats the cheapest, most reliable solution for this? Should I just buy a nice aftermarket one and fit it in there, or is it worth just buying a decent second hand one from a wrecking Ke70? :blush:

  19. It is a beautiful car. If you can't get a decent price, hold on it and keep it in good nick, the engine working and that. Things always come full circle, styles come and go. You never know, in a decade they could be seen as a classic car. If one of these were the vehicle of choice in a blockbuster film tomorrow, you'd get 10 grand for it! :D
  20. Loving this mate! What colour you going to go for? I have an AE92 as a daily, they're great cars. These look absolutely great when they're done up, but never seen one with a 20 valve 4AGE! Very keen to watch the progress! :D

  22. Hullo! So I want to put a 16 valve 4AGE into my KE70. I don't want super heavy duty this and that, mostly standard stuff. So I was thinking that I will get the 4AGE, use AE71 engine mounts, engine x member, gear box x member, T50 gear box, AE71 tailshaft, pedal box. I find myself thinking, 'Then why did you get a KE70 if it's just going to be an AE71?". Particularly so as mine is a 1984 with slanty front, which I want to change aswell. My question is (basically seeking some justification in my actions here), is it worth seeking out these individual AE71 components? Had I have bought an AE71 I may have had to replace a few parts anyway. Or should I just go the whole hog and purchase more performance oriented components? May seem a bit open ended, but a bit of wisdom from the higher powers would be much appreciated! (Don't get me wrong, I love my KE70 and aren't looking for an excuse to pawn it off and buy an AE71) EDIT: Something like an AE92 or AE82 also uses 4a series engines. Would the mounts and such off these vehicles also work for me KE70? Or just the mounts but the x members wouldn't fit?
  23. Don't mean to sound rude, but you removed the 4AGE because you damaged it severely. Did you just choose the Nissan engine because it was already RWD and you weren't confident about trying to convert another 4AGE?
  24. Taking the supercharger out of the equation, doesn't that engine produce even less power than say the 4A-FE? Or are you putting it up there purely for the consideration that it's a cheap engine with better power than the stock 4k? :D
