  1. Manga Videos lolzors.
  2. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=34556 Lo and behold, this link is itself also full of links. EDIT: Most important link is Billzillas AE86 conversion as that is reasonably comprehensive i.e. lots of photos.
  3. First thing you want to do is buy this. Seriously, it is insanely well priced.
  4. Tried to get my hands on Fluent, nothing about getting it from their website or the people who are supposedly local suppliers. I guess it's one of those things that are meant for Universities and businesses to buy. Couldn't even find a reliable looking torrent. Will I still want my plenum to be greater in size than the combined area of my runners, even in a quad throttle body setup though? Will the pressure that has built up in the plenum be mostly transferred in to the runners? From what I can gather the pressure will be mostly retained before it goes to the runners, where it will again be subject to an increase in pressure. That all sounds far too positive and good to be true though, what's the catch?
  5. They will all fit, they will all be expensive to fit, they will all go a lot faster than the stock motor. More help needed?
  6. Yes I heard that with ITBs you get resonance tuning through efficient velocity stacks, but I like to get off the bitumen every now and then so I need a remotely decent air filtering system. Thanks for the directness of your answer LittleRedSpirit.
  7. Thanks for the replies. I'm just looking to getting the most out of a naturally aspirated 5K as possible and hoping to do it in something of a budget. Unfortunately a dyno in the backyard is going to put my financial situation into the red a little too much, so I'm relying on getting it mostly right the first time. Probably sounds naive but as it's based on physics I can calculate a pretty close guess to how it's going to need to be. Yes I know, "most power possible" is pretty ambiguous. I want to get a decent amount of power out of a mid range power band and of course having a decent looking dyno sheet to pin on my fridge wouldn't be too bad either. As far as extremely specific "this is how much torque I want in this rev range and this is the top speed I'm going to get" I am far from working out as I'm still in my infancy of learning about engines. What's the easiest way to contact Billzilla? Through that performance forum he uses or does he have an email on his webpage?
  8. From what I have read so far, taking advantage of resonance effects to naturally increase the pressure within the intake manifold/plenum is workable on a single throttle body. I have seen a few setups where people employ a plenum over the top of ITBs in what I can only assume is an attempt to take advantage of this pressure increase. From the more technical sites I have seen they base their calculations on intake manifold after it has passed the throttle body. So with ITBs a particularly fancy intake manifold design would take advantage of the pressure increase, but the plenum would be largely useless (with the exception of air filtering / noise). Is the increase in air pressure within the plenum going to be significant enough to contribute to power if it is only adding pressure to the throttle body rather than the valves? (As in an ITB setup with plenum covering them) Is the increase in pressure from a combined plenum / intake manifold design going to be more significant than the advantage of using ITBs? I have had brief conversations with a few very wise members, but I thought I would get this out there and hopefully find a few more answers (read: opinions).
  9. I think because if it doesn't have carpet the person providing roadworthy thinks "This person wants it to look like a race car"?
  10. Was more talking about, "Yeah, i kinda wanted to know the limits of the SC12, but i'll still put it on in place of an SC14 as I have something much different in mind to upgrade to when (not if, but WHEN) she goes bang... But it's a secret..." Perhaps I'm taking it too literally, just read a lot of guys buy 5Ks and specifically say that they're expecting to root them.
  11. Why do people keep buying up the 5K's with the intention of blowing them up before moving onto something better!
  12. http://digiads.com.au/carsales/used-cars/U...71711195546.htm You can always add to a car, but it's a good base car and they are reasonably priced.
  13. Don't know about NT but technically you have to have all seats fitted by an approved seat fitter, just like an Approved Inspection Station for mechanics. I've never heard of WRX seats fitting (someone feel free to say otherwise), you may be able to switch the actual rails off the stock AE95 seats onto the bottom? Otherwise you may have to drill new holes for them to go on, or mock up some solid state brackets to bolt into the car.
  14. Haha sorry thought it might be misinterpreted. I was implying that the cars are all so wonderful he needs to put a price up as he's just teasing us all. Every single one is practically a gem!
  15. Therefore, please state a price, or your thread may be subject to closure or deletion. Regards, Rollaclub Smartarse Troll.
  16. Oh my god winwinwinwinwin! You are my new hero
  17. Thanks for the advice Taz and the PM, very helpful. I've always hated the idea of the EFI system completely covering the engine but I got up to page 20 on Taz's 5KTE last night and noticed he has it mounted on the side so I'll give it more consideration now. Cost is of course a factor but EFI is something I'm considering long term. The books at the library regarding boosting engines are from the early 80s so they don't even make mention of EFI, perhaps I should be looking elsewhere for information
  18. Complete re-edit: I can run more than one carb with the supercharger, don't understand this comment unless it's like Felix recommending that it would simply be a lot easier to have a single downdraft carb. Obviously a compromise between cost/simplicity and performance is a must in order for me to be able to do it.
  19. I've never heard of using motorcycle quads I'll have to do some research. Currently it's your block stock KE70, but I'm searching for the 5K. When I get the 5K obviously before deciding exactly how to go about it I'll give it a thorough pull down and inspection. Plans for the 5K are: - Twin Sidedraft Carbs - Extractors - Block and valves machined, O rings in the head (once I have done all the reading and calculating on what exactly I need) - New cam (again once I have figured out exactly how I need them done for my setup) - New pistons and rings - Upright motor for better use of engine bay - Super charger install That's just a basic run down of what I want to do, and only in a general order of how I'll do it. Planning is being done around the idea of using a SC, so a few things like the carb I can utilise early on but of course other things will take a lot more planning before implementing.
  20. Yeah daily but I want to get as much power out of it as I can so I plan on going twin sidedrafts (among other things). Lots of things in the boiler for the engine but obviously new carb is the first on the list really.
  21. So I'm in the market for a carb upgrade. I've been in discussion via PM with a few members who have been exceptionally helpful. I was watching a set of Webers on eBay which have since skyrocketed in price. I'm currently looking at a pair of Dellortos, but they're off a 2ltr Alfa which means emissions. The book about rebuilding and tuning Webers and Dellortos basically just says, avoid them and buy what they call "Universal" carbs. Is there a way around the emissions gear without hacking it to death or should I just keep my eyes open for something more inline with what I need?
  22. Redbook says between 1,000 and 3,000 and myself and most members here would probably agree.
  23. Pics of engine bay?
  24. Managed to get any ideas on what he did to tune it to such high HP?
  25. Why do Altezzas have equal rate springs? Surely any benefit they saw on doing it to an Altezza is a benefit transferable to a Rolla..?
