Welcome to the forum. To start I'd suggest spending a bit of time touring the forum and seeing what other people have done so you can get an idea of what works and what doesn't. K motors are quite simple motors and lend themselves to DIY modification, which is what you'll find most people on this forum are interested in. I'm not sure that you'd find too many K motor specialists around the place, as they are quite small motors, and not particular powerful compared to modern engines. The only person/business that I can think of off the top of my head would be kemotorsport, who is in Adelaide and seems to have quite a bit of experience with K motor modification. Otherwise I'd suggest evaluating what you want to achieve with the motor. At the end of the day if you want a decent amount of power, you're probably going to find it's cheaper and less trouble to swap to something different.

There is a place called Fours n More that do some custom builds and what not.

They do awesome work and regularly do work for autosalon. Back when I had my twincam I always

used to send it to him for work. If you supply him with all the parts (which you can get from KeMotorsport)

then he should be able to slap it all together and dyno tune it. Mind you it won't be cheap because of labour.

I'm sorta estimating around the $1500 mark to build and tune, thats an under estimation too. So let's say

you spend $500 on parts (charger, plumbing, flanges, belt, mount) then add costs of a build.

You could almost buy an already charged car for that money.

This is why most of the guys here do the work themselves, because it is cheap and easy.

My best advice is to do exactly what I am doing, buy an engine, work it in your spare time and then slot it in when it is finished.

You can do the work yourself, it is that easy to do. If you are patient enough I am starting my AMR500 5k build early next year.

Got a wedding and honeymoon at the end of the year so things have been slow lately.

My work uses Southcott Engines. on Cornmack Rd Wingfield. 1300 767 040. They are pretty pricey though. They did the machining of my block and put my new pistons on the rods. When i got the engine quote it was around $1900 and i still had to assemble it myself. The quote included head work, decking of the block, chemical cleaning the block rotating balance, lightening the flywheel, full gasket set, new timing gear set and some other stuff i can't think of. They can put it together also. Id give them a call and get a quote and go from there
