  2. check for vacuum leaks that could be one course of your problem
  3. if you havent changes the oil I would suggest changing it and the oil filter that may help.
  4. WGMG Dicks that break into my car and steal some of my tool to pay for the stupid drug habit. How ever note to the thieves blue point tools will get you more money then the supa tools you stole you idiots. And I guess they didnt see the 4 security cameras either for this exact reason. I will find you.
  5. its that seal or the tube could have gone slightly oval
  6. wgmg. A electrician saying our work shop hourly rate is unjustifiably over the top. Mate your hourly rate is $50 more then ours and my tool box minus the tool cost more then your van. Justify your hourly rate then.
  7. I paid $99 for a 3 gravity fed spray gun kit. I Did the better job with the touch up gun lol. But took forever to just spray the door. The reg was about $35 and the compressor was $129, But with the compressor I had to a small section then wait for the tank to refill
  8. I used a super cheap air compressor, i just bought the pressure regulator thing from there too i even bought the spray gun from there and when i was finished the spray gun went in the bin though.
  9. Give it ago yourself. Whats the worst that could happen, you to rub it back again. But if you don't want to then at work we use perfection crash, 121 Addison Rd ROSEWATER 08 84471129. They do pretty good work.
  10. It tried to paint my car. Never painted anything before. I chose red the sides of the car came out okish. How ever the roof, boot and bonnet came out all stripey I'm guessing there is a technical way to painting those areas?
  11. WGMG. 17 year so and so trying to scam people because for the fact that they them selves are idiots. Last month we install a crate v8 engine into a vr commy. The owner had just bout the car the week before. So under the new laws he can't drive it on the road. Any how he was told the vehicle my be driven nicely etc for the first 1000kms to run it in. Any how it came in on a tow truck with the engine blown. He demanded it be replaced under warranty. He did everything he was suppose. Abusing us threatening our office lady (whom is recovering from breast cancer). The 3 mistakes he had made. 1. the tyre spray under the guards. He continued to state the wheels haven't spun at all. number 2. i was at the last burn out comp and saw the vehicle blow its engine and the 3rd the competitor sticker was still on the windscreen. The customer stormed after he was told about that. About and hour later the cops rolled up and said that a car was seen here that had been stolen that day. Little so and so. Sorry if it was hard to read as I'm worked up while writing this.
  12. There's Just Wrecking Toyota in wingfield and theres a corolla wrecker in the yellow pages also
  13. Where i work we service one and the exhaust manifold seems to be a problem cracking and the same with the gear box. Although the gear box could be the driver.
  14. NAME: Ben CAR: 1983 corolla MOTOR/DRIVELINE: standard 4k with webber/5 speed, (rebuilding 4k and working it too be finished when i get to it) SUSPENSION/BRAKES: King springs all round. Slotted front discs (looking into xt130 front end upgrade) WHEELS/TYRES: 13x6 wanabe look-a-likes (I think) some cheap branded tyres. INTERIOR: standard with racing seat for the driver BODY: stocko dodgy red paint (first attempt at painting a car)
  15. Hopefully everyone will be alright and everyone stays safe. Its hard to comprehend how bad it is there. It hasn't really rained here is Adelaide. Everyone up there stay safe
  16. My work uses Southcott Engines. on Cornmack Rd Wingfield. 1300 767 040. They are pretty pricey though. They did the machining of my block and put my new pistons on the rods. When i got the engine quote it was around $1900 and i still had to assemble it myself. The quote included head work, decking of the block, chemical cleaning the block rotating balance, lightening the flywheel, full gasket set, new timing gear set and some other stuff i can't think of. They can put it together also. Id give them a call and get a quote and go from there
  17. Yeah i do i might have to in the end its just gone as far as new everything, e.g water pump, fuel pump etc, so i thought why them too.
  18. Being a mechanic you would think our normal parts suppliers would help me out but they seem to be puting it in the too hard basket. The place that did my machining etc of the engine don't do part chasing.
  19. Hi I'm currently in the middle of rebuilding my 4k out of my ke70. I have noticed that my lifters have worn through. I'm having the usual problems with parts supplies saying they will look into and ring me back and don't. So do any one one here know where i could get a new set and how much
  20. 5 or 6 years ago they did my head on my big torana. They did a massive amount of work on it and i never had any problems with the heads and i was running a blower on the engine too. My work has send alot of our heads there and there has never been any issues. Maybe yours was a one off.
  21. I used Adelaide cylinder heads they are on port road in Beverly. They do all of our head work at work. They seem to do a good job. I haven't tested my head yet as I'm still building the engine
  22. It should do that. The engine idles in park yeah. you have too build up hydraulic pressure be the auto will work. The locking pin in park only stops the car from rolling backwards and forth.
  23. If you had witnesses You can take it to court a fight it. As long as your not a car dealer the 5-0 can't defect a car that isn't running in a driveway. Cops defected my VS ute in my drive way, I was changing the clutch on it. took it to court and I won. How ever the 5-0 picked on the ute after that so i sold it.
  24. Id also suggest a small container of black pepper of any of those little cooling system leaks you may get. Also minute mend is another good investment.
  25. what model pajero master cylinder do i use?
