crunk81us Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Acquired a 3k block, balanced bottom end, bored .75mm with flat top pistons. only needs disassemble, clean, and reassemble How do i figure out what my compression ratio is so i can figure out what cam to get etc? I believe i need to use a syringe to measure the combustion chambers or something? Quote
philbey Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Yep you'll needa syringe and a flat piece of glass to work out the volume of the head. Download dynamic compression ratio calculator from This link and read the full page. You'll also need to measure your pistons, deck heights etc to get all the info. Once you get cam specs, you will need to punch them into the DDR as well. Aim for a dynamic comp ratio, not just static comp. Quote
