royrolla Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 Hey All! I am looking at purchasing a late 90's model Toyota Townace with an injected 7K. Just after opinions/experiences anyone has with said vehicle, such as - how does it perform laden/unladen, visibility issues, loading capacity, driver comfort, fuel economy, anything at all. Cheers in advance for your replies and have a Happy New Year! Quote
SLO-030 Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 I drove one for a bit a couple years ago. Although the carb'd version, it went rather well. Easy to drive, seemed alright on the juice. Quote
royrolla Posted January 3, 2011 Author Report Posted January 3, 2011 cheers for your reply. doesn't appear that many others have much to say about driving townaces, probably prefer their 7k's in corollas! Quote
daggers57 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I drove a 2002 model for about 2 years, heavily loaded with locksmith gear and the occaisional small safe, never had any problems, even on gas, visability was excellent as they have massive side mirrors just make sure you get the rear parking mirror, it makes parking alot easier, I found it great to drive, even long distances, not sure about fuel usage as it was a company vehicle so I never cared about economy. The suspension was a bit bouncy when empty, but I suppose that's to be expected. It was even capable of the occasional wet weather drift, which can be a little unnerving! Quote
