Well ordered my engine from Adelaide jap today , complete ca18det uncut loom ecu clutch 90k KLM 1600 with warranty.

also scored from a mate a skyline shorty box full rebuilt gearset by niswreck.

My question is regarding the box, it should fit better yea? Shifter in standard hole crossmember closer to original spot etc. Better for engineering?

anyone know how strong these boxes are compared to the stock 180 box.

Ke30 2 door sedan.

will fit better, same strength as the ca18 box, basically the same box with minor ratio differences i believe.

Ok sweet. Any way to tell/signs of rebuilt gearset short of opening it up? Paid 500.

Mate reckons cost him 1k with warranty...
