LukeAE71 Posted February 2, 2011 Author Report Posted February 2, 2011 So the paint is pretty faded on this rig. I thought I would try a quick cheap cut and polish to see if I can bring it up a bit. I only did the door tonight but the difference is rad - can't wait to finish the rest of the car. Quote
SkidzMgee Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Cutting Compound literally saves panels from being sooooo ghey... Also works on yellowed headlights from exterior pollution. Lemme just get this straight, you own the yellow sedan, and this Panelvan? Quote
LukeAE71 Posted February 2, 2011 Author Report Posted February 2, 2011 Yes I have the yellow sedan and the panelvan  Quote
SkidzMgee Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Cool beans. Can I come live in your house naow? PLEASH? Quote
LukeAE71 Posted February 3, 2011 Author Report Posted February 3, 2011 Finished the drivers side and passenger side tonight. Just the tailgate and roof to go. In this pic you can see it is half finished and look at the difference in paint colour on the unfinished panels!! What a difference it makes!!! It was too dark to take other pics when I finished so more pics tomorrow Quote
SkidzMgee Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 For that plastic trim before the tailgate, try a combo of armourall and Pyroil Tyre shine (autobarn & sprints sell it) to help give it more of its dark plastic back :) Quote
LukeAE71 Posted February 4, 2011 Author Report Posted February 4, 2011 I finished polishing it!!!! I can't believe how good it looks its like its a totally different car Some pics (also featuring my KE70 sedan) I'm just gonna polish up the mas and that should do. It's going in Monday to have the throttle spring made up and air con belt installed. I know I should do it myself but I get stuff all time for that kind of stuff Quote
LukeAE71 Posted February 7, 2011 Author Report Posted February 7, 2011 (edited) I got the throttle fixed today with a spring for the return. Finally this car drives like it should! What is it like??? :o     :blinks: :D AWESOME Also located a manual conversion for my sedan  Edited February 7, 2011 by LukeAE71 Quote
