Hey guys, I'm getting my first car on monday its a toyota corolla hatchback i believe it is a 1986 model. the car is very straight only bit of rust is around the fuel cap but me and dad will patch that up :). should have photos up when i bring her home :D (never been on a forum before i hope i put this post in the right section, sorry if i havnt)

welcome to rolla club. sounds like your car is an ae82. they are very reliable and are very fuel economical. i have had 2 in my travels and wish i kept them haha.

do you know if it is the twin cam version?

mate carolla as a first car is awesome chassis rails and mcpherson struts up front its endless

 

appreciate the car for what it is and I'm sure you worked hard for it

 

don't be easily pursuaded with power being your first car enjoy it as an acheivement

drive it at your own pace super fuel saver, when you in a good position do it what you wan, i get old skool rollas and think simple fly under the radar is so cool

 

just enjoy the car like i said its an achievement
