I have a KE30 bonnet to put onto my 55 but it seems as though the loop is shorter,as a result the bonnet wont lock into the latch. I have adjusted the current latch as high as it will go only the release lever fowls on the bonnet. Do i need to get a KE 30 latch or do I have to make the loop longer?

i thought it was a bolt in job, maybe try the loop from the ke55 bonnet on the ke30 bonnet...

yeah me too only to change them round you have to cut out some of the sheet metal and weld it in, just wondering if there was something i was missing before i got the grinder out

the release is a different shape i can get a pic if needed but the 30 has more of an angle

We had the same issue fitting a 55 bonnet to a KE30. Maybe try finding a latch off a KE30 before you go chopping?
