Rear Main?

Featured Replies

hi pretty sure my rear main needs replacing on my 4k, just wondering if anyones done it before because i need to no if the seal is a one pice that just seals between the gearbox and motor or if its a 2 piece that seals where the bearing is, if its the second option then looks like I'm pulling the whole motor apart haha, hopefully its the first.

its just a 1 piece seal that slides over the crank. simple really, remove box and flywheel and bob's your uncle (easier said than done). Make sure you remove your old seal first before purchasing a new one, there are two depths of rear main seals for a 4k. By memory one is 8 mm deep (thick) and the other is 12........... i think.

cheers phatke30!
