Just wondering I bought a car got it home and the guy said he'd get rego stuff and post it to me. 2 months later still waiting and struggling to get in contact with him. LukeAE71 Posted June 9, 2011 Report Share Posted June 9, 2011 Is the rego close to expiry? When it expires, go in and fill out an MR1 form with all the details. It will transfer into your name. LukeAE71 Posted June 9, 2011 Report Share Posted June 9, 2011 No you do not need the previous owner's details. You are supposed to write the name down of who you got it from but just wing it. You won't need name address etc Copy the details for engine number etc from the old rego sticker if it has one.
