beerhead Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 I've found this on ebay in the states, it's some material that nasa uses for gaskets, meant to be a great insualator between the head and the intake manifold, keeping the temperatures lower and air densities up. What do you reakon guys? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4AGE-AE86-C...013948559QQrdZ1 50ish AUD delivered. Quote
Super Jamie Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 i think you could find some "space age" material with a bit of research and cut it out yourself for cheaper than 50 dollars :D Quote
Super Jamie Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 but that's like, crimped metal sheet with holes in it, not something you would use for an inlet-manifold-to-head spacer. it needs to seal against outside air i have heard of people making their own spacers before to reduce inlet temps, apparently it's something that does work, but the material used escapes me. some googling may turn up results?
