AE82Newby Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 Hi Can anyone tell me how to remove my rear seat squab on my AE82 sedan? There were mice in the car and its the last place to clean!! There are two catches on the floor, but I'll be damned if I can get them to open. I don't want to damage or distort the catches by using excess force. Aghh! Ta, Brett Quote
7shades Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 The catches just push into holes in the floor... I can't remember whether you need to push them forward or backwards (and then lift up) but you're on the right track. They're annoying :) Quote
carbonboy Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 If they are the non-foldflat seats the rear seat bottom will lift up from the front, you may need to give it a little tug but it'll come out. If they're the fold flat seats there's a little tab at the back of the bench in the middle which you pull to release it & it unbolts from where the hinges are. Quote
AE82Newby Posted July 5, 2011 Author Report Posted July 5, 2011 Thanks carbonboy, I'll try it. I think you helped me as well last time! I am enjoying the car, with a little care and ignoring the odd rattle or noise, it just goes and goes. Cheers, Brett Quote
