I think the next question would be - is it an electric or mechanical gauge ?

But my guess would be that being cheap it'll be mechanical.

All you have to do is take out the sensor unit for oil gauge (near the filter) and run a line from that to the gauge.

No need to worry about electrical wires, unless you want the gauge light to work.

The only thing you have to be worried about is making sure the oil line does not get a kink in it or being in a place that makes it flex. The typical plastic pipe stuff that comes with the gauge is relatively ok for the flexing but just like the copper line that can be bought, it doesn't like to be kinked.
