It looks pretty neat.

If it was me buying it, I would NOT PAY more than a grand. It's a 4 door KE30, there is only about 14 billion left to buy after that one haha, so it is worth alot less than if it had been a coupe.

I bought a white KE30 a few years back, 1978 model, 3K, 4speed, 11 months rego, the straightest KE30 bumperbars I have ever seen, 4 brand new tyres, brand new starter, brand new front shocks, new ignition(so the key didn't fall out) interior in excellent condition. Whole car had one dent in it, the rest was dead straight, paint was fair. All door rubbers and window rubbers were immaculate. $600

In my opinion...standard KE30 corolla's are too common to be worth anything more than $1000 even in neat condition.

That said, if I REALLY wanted a particular car, I might be inclined to pay more, so it is really up to you. Would it be worth 2000 of your hard earned dollars to own that corolla?

And as Nick said, wave cash at him telling him the car will be gone as soon as he takes the money out of your hand, generally makes people do what you want them to do.

I would take $1200 round there, offer him $1000 and if he refuses, show him the other $200 and say that is all you have, take it or leave it.
