kingtube69 Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 Hey Everyone, I am new to the Corolla world and i require a tad bit of help... I have a central locking kit that i purchased for $40 AUD My deleima is that there is no location where i can mount the Actuators easily... From what i understand, i need to mount the actuators inside the door panel.. and to do this i need to hold the actuators inside the door and drill from the outside into the actuator mounting holes, not even the metal brackets that come with it to hold it in place will get in there as i can't get my hand drill or anything into the door to drill it in.. Does anyone who has an AE92 have central locking on here? if so, could you please PM me so we can discuss it further? Thank you for your time. Quote
corollaparts69 Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 Hello, if your local to brisbane I can show you the inside of my doors to give you some idea of where things go.Otherwise I will try to explain through messages. There is a metal bracket that attaches the locking mech with the central locking gadget and only one hole should need to be drilled to fit them.If it's factory central locking, the holes should already be in the door. You will need to drill a hole for the wiring to go inside the car, preferably using a rubber boot as well. Will explain further if need be,just pm me. Thank you. Quote
