sharpshane Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 So I've seen a lot of pix with MSD style coils in em but looks like stock dizzy. What's the advantage of getting the msd pack and what else do I need to put in for it? Quote
philbey Posted October 11, 2011 Report Posted October 11, 2011 The MSD coils put out a higher voltage, 45,000 will get you a fatter spark. Can possibly open up plug gap. First up, you won't notice any real performance difference in a daily/stocker/mild street car. Secondly, you'll pay 80-90 bucks for an MSD Blaster 2, or 40-50 bucks for a Bosch GT40. The Gt40 runs about 40,000 volts. Keep it cheap and just go with that. Quote
sharpshane Posted October 19, 2011 Author Report Posted October 19, 2011 running a stock 2tc with weber carb. Thinking of going with the dual weber's. I was told if I do that I should get a bigger cam to get the benfits from it. re-do the head all set up for it too. Quote
dashills Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 Hey Dude If your going to rip the head off , port it, polish it, double valve springs to suit your new cam , larger valves and harden seats ( then you can run ulp 95 no flash lube :D )and maybe bronze guides. Quote
